The inspiration for Red Thread Stitches began in December of 2007 when I saw my 3rd daughter looking me in the eyes from the other side of the world. Short on funds, but strong on our desire to bring her home… I began stitching my way to her. Through the grace of God, Red Thread Stitches became a vessel filled with blessings. It not only brought our daughter to our arms… but two years later brought home our 4th daughter from China. Grateful beyond measure, we give back what we can to help other waiting families.
I am a 3rd generation sewing mom. As a little girl I remember standing beside my mother watching her stitch away. My mother would share stories of how she watched her mother sew to help support her family during the depression. Now my children stand beside me and my “mean machine”.
It is an answered prayer to be a part of Create H.O.P.E Designs. Those who made China Little Flower what it is today…saved our little girl’s life while she waited for us in China. As you can imagine, China Little Flower is very near and dear to our hearts. A portion of our proceeds are shared with them each month.
I invite you to learn more about this amazing organization. With Christ in their hearts, they love and nurture some of the sickest babies in China. Whether a baby is born into eternal life or born into a forever family…they carry with them dignity and love. The staff at China Little Flower are true heroes!
